Ships on Lake Hallwil

Lake Hallwil is a relatively shallow and small lake in the Seetal south of Lenzburg. It is set among rolling hills. Situated between industrial Aargau and the tourist area of Lucerne, it is sufficiently removed fron the large traffic streams and major agglomerations. The Shipping Company of Lake Hallwil operates five ships on the lake, which run a number of round trips in summer, spring and autumn. These round trips are also part of the public transport system and can be used with the general public transport passes and tickets.

The oldest passenger ship on Lake Hallwil is the motor vessel Fortuna built in 1963. Here it approaches the landing bridge at Seengen, not far from the historic Castle Hallwyl. [May 2015].
